The appointment of two top chefs to the Central Bar in Ballycastle will be a gastronomic sensation as the pair come not only with exceptional experience from NI's finest restaurants, but also from the same family!

Cousins Michael Irvine and Paul Hanna are the restaurants new power-house duo, and will be preparing vibrant, modern dishes with classic roots. The impressively experienced chefs are aiming to cook up a menu that has something to suit everyone, focussed on using only fresh local produce from the best local suppliers.

Michael, former executive suos-chef at Belfast's Hilton Hotel, is renowned for his record in training apprentice students to national level award winners in Ireland and the UK. With 23 years experience, he developed his trade in critic's favourite Tedfords, a Belfast restaurant in the heart of the city's most fashionable district.

Paul, who has 14 years experience, made his name in high-end city-centre venue Cafe Vaudeville, frequented by the finest palettes in the country.

Their joint aim is to use their culinary expertise to continually develop the menu, bringing exciting dishes to the area, and providing dinners with a unique taste experience every time.
