Cara McHenry

Restuarant Manager

Cara McHenry has worked in The Central for 10 years. While completing her studies at Cross and Passion College, Cara worked part time at the Central, where her love for hospitality began. After completing a 3-year degree in Liverpool, Cara moved back to Ballycastle taking on the role of restaurant manager. After working part time in hospitality in Liverpool while completing her degree, Cara also spent a summer in Washington DC working in a restaurant. This invaluable experience opened Cara’s eyes to many new and exciting ideas which she has enforced throughout the management of the Central. Cara aims to continue the success of her parents in running the central bar, while bringing her own unique style and fresh ideas to the day to day running of the restaurant.

Aaron McHenry

Bar Manager

Aaron has worked in The central for 14 years. Aaron is an excellent bar manager to the staff and his customer service is immaculate making every customer experience at the central unforgettable. Aaron is a key asset to the management team, he is involved in the day to day running of the business but also very hands on as he was heavily involved in the renovation of the bar over the years. In 2012 the Central won “bar of the year in Northern Ireland”, Aarons goal for the central is to keep up its high standard and hopefully win many more awards under his management.

Anthony McCabe


Anto is a very talented chef with many years’ experience. Anto began his career in the industry working in a local chip shop where he quickly found his feet. Anto later began working for Mourne Seafood, a very well-known restaurant in the heart of Belfast city centre where he worked with Andy Ray who taught him many great skills cooking with fish. Anto then moved on and got a job working as sous chef alongside chef Gareth McGaughey in The Muddlers club. Working with the best, Anto gained invaluable experience and knowledge on not only food, but also the business side of running a restaurant. Anto is very excited to start his new journey in Ballycastle as part of the new management team at the Central Bar

Sean Bradley


Sean Bradley who left school at a young age to pursue his cooking career started working in the central at the age of 16 after a brief year he moved onto city life & Michelin stars, spending 1 1/2 years at the world renowned restaurant midsummer house in Cambridge with celebrity chef Daniel Clifford he itched to take his experience home, and so he did. By going to a small team with OX restaurant brought Michelin back to Northern Ireland for the first time in over a decade, there he stayed three years working his way up to sous chef before taking the jump on his own adventure at the central, back home.
